School village "Paso del Mango"
Approximately 11 boys and girls from the region, of various ages, attend the little school. Only the first years of primary school are taught. For some time now, we have been working with the school, supporting them in environmental activities and carrying out activities within the reserve
Campaign to plant a tree and knowledge of compost
In the first stage of this activity, the students watched a short animated video about the importance of the forest and the effects of deforestation.
We then had a circle where everyone shared what they considered important about trees and their impressions of the video.
After the circle, we did a painting and expression activity, keeping in mind the theme of trees and their importance. We finished with a snack.
They loved the painting activity and the conversation. This inspired us to carry out activities outside of the campaigns.

In the second stage, the students watched a video about the importance of compost. Worm composting was used as an example.
After the video, we had a circle where everyone shared their thoughts, followed by an excursion to explore our worm compost.
Finally, the students visited the seedling and planting area. Here, we carried out the activity of transplanting a small tree. We finished with a snack.
It was wonderful to see their curiosity as they explored the worms. They put their hands in the compost to feel it and touch the worms. Everyone wanted to participate in everything.

In the third stage, we watched a short video about reforestation. The importance of taking care of forests and doing our part by reforesting.
We took a tour of the reserve, picked some small trees, and planted them together.
At the end, we had a snack and discussed the activity.
Since this was the final stage, we were able to see how the children developed during the activity.
A girl found a worm and buried it with the plant, remembering the importance of worms for compost and the ecosystem

More activities are coming with the little school, many more smiles and learning.
