Minca started as a small charming coffee town and has developed into a big tourist destination without compromising on its charm. People love coming here because of the cool temperature (niche change to the Santa Marta heat), for trekking, mountain biking, bird watching, organic coffee and to simply relax.  Many expats have found their way here and started small restaurants and accommodation businesses.  The charm of Minca is in the landscape, therefore we recommend you to stay a few meters above Minca, if possible.

The best days to be in Minca are during the week in order to avoid the tourism from Santa Marta on the weekends.

Some of many things to see:

Finca La Victoria - Organic coffee farm

Pozo Azul - Small trek to a natural pool in the river.

Cerro Kennedy - For this you need to hire a transport or do a very long trekking. The view from here is amazing.
